This Site is not for patient information
SaberGuard does not collect, and does not want to receive, protected health information (PHI) through the Site. The contact form says so above the message field, and no field invites it. Please do not include patient names, records, dates of service, or any other health information in a form or an email to us.
If health information is sent to us through the Site anyway, we delete it from our systems as soon as we identify it and ask you to re-send your message without it. Using the Site does not make SaberGuard a business associate of your organization; that relationship is created only by a written agreement.
Information we collect
- Contact form: your name, practice or organization name, role, work email, phone number (optional), practice size, the platform you use (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, both, or not sure), and the message you write. Submissions are transmitted to and stored by Formspree, our form processor, and delivered to our email.
- Email and phone: whatever you choose to share when you contact us directly.
- Website security checker: the website address you enter so the check can run. We do not use it to build profiles and we do not scan sites you do not submit.
- Technical information: standard server and hosting logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps, kept by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and operations.
- Analytics, only with your consent: aggregated page-view and performance data from Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. These tools do not set cookies and do not track you across sites. They load only after you accept the Analytics category in our consent banner.
- Browser storage: your theme preference (light or dark) and your cookie consent choice, stored in your browser's local storage and in a first-party cookie named sg_consent so we can honor the choice on your next visit.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry, schedule a consultation, and prepare a scope and proposal if you ask for one.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including understanding which pages visitors find useful.
- To run the website security checker you requested and show you the results.
- To comply with law and protect our rights and the rights of others.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions and email correspondence are kept as long as needed to respond to you and, if you become a client, for the duration of the relationship and the period our records-retention obligations require. You can ask us to delete your inquiry at any time. Hosting and security logs are retained by our providers for a limited period under their standard policies.
How we protect it
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including encrypted transport for all Site traffic, access controls on the mailboxes and systems that receive your messages, and the security headers you can verify with our own website security checker. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, which is one reason we ask you not to send health information through the Site.
Your choices and rights
- Consent: accept, reject, or adjust non-essential categories at any time from the footer's Cookie Preferences link.
- Access, correction, deletion: email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, subject to any legal obligation to retain it.
- Email: you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
- Do Not Track: because we do not use tracking cookies, the Site behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Massachusetts residents: SaberGuard is based in Massachusetts and handles personal information in line with the state's data security regulation, 201 CMR 17.00.
Children
The Site is intended for healthcare organizations and businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party sites
The Site links to third-party sites and services, including our Trust Center, podcast platforms, GitHub, and LinkedIn. Their privacy practices are their own; we encourage you to read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the Site for a reasonable period.
